This is the mark of a love that started out as a small spark in both our hearts. Neither of us knew it at the time, but we would impact each others lives in ways we will only come to fully realize in a decade or so. Perhaps it is that deep bond that scared us, but we lost our way. Hopefully one day we will find it again.
For my butterfly:
There are so many things I wanted to say. But there wasn't enough time, or opportunity, to tell you. Just know that I love you and always will. I'll be there for you if you need me. We'll both have other people, and you'll marry some Jewish boy and have a bunch of babies who throw unjustified tamper tantrums. But my heart will always belong to you. And, I hope, in some way, yours will always belong to me. It would help with the mud. Be happy Yael. That makes everything else easier. Just look at the squirrels.
Always yours,
