Once a upon a time, there was an ordinary 18 year old girl.
She lived in a small town and only had a few close friends because that's how she liked it. She had been hurt in the past so badly that she was convinced that love was just a myth. She never saw a relationship last in her entire life but in the back of her mind, she always hoped. But she was confused and naive. For she thought she was in love with an idiot and thought they'd end up eventually down the road. Thinking this, she just decided to go on life happy without anyone. She pushed for distance from that small town to get away from the pain and to become something great. She toured several colleges until she came to the decision to go to the university of Hartford. Something felt right about that place. She could feel it. She knew something great was going to happen there.
Move in day shortly came and she made great friends quickly. She lived happily without a thing bothering her. Everything was routine until her world was flipped upside down...
A message from an unexpected boy appeared in her facebook messages one night. She had never met this boy, just knew of him. He was rumored to be sweet with gorgeous blue eyes. And let me tell you, the rumors were not wrong.
They continued to talk as friends at a pace she was comfortable with. Thinking nothing would come from these innocent occasional conversations. But occasional turned into daily. The talks got longer and more frequent. So They finally decided to see each other.
Their first meeting, was nothing like a fairytale, but it was most certainly memorable. This boy was quite intoxicated this night without her knowing for some time. But she wasn't appalled. She vowed to not judge him on this night because he apologized. And she believed him for some reason. She walked him home at the end of the night and hugged him goodbye. Thinking she would never see him again. Because she didn't like how that went, but, she made a promise and trusted her gut.
He texted her good night and good morning and for some reason, she was happy about it. They continued to talk as frequent and agreed to see each other again, this time sober. She went to a party for a little while and promised to be back before 12. an unexpected incident happened where she was occupied until 3am. But, he understood and continued to stay up and wait for her. She was so taken by this that she said "there is no way I could blow him off after he stayed up all night waiting. That's so sweet of him"
So she went over...and stayed over. They cuddled all night. And something about the way she for in his arms was soo....natural. Almost as if that spot was made for her. Perfectly.
That next day she woke up in his arms and it was like a dream. But she STILL didn't think anything would come of this. Remember, she didn't believe in love.
The talks got sweeter and longer. They saw each other more often. And feelings began to catch. Coming back from break, she actually missed seeing him. And they had only known each other for one month. At that moment, she knew she was attached. But still didn't think anything of love.
Once break ended, they saw each other every single day. They kisses, cuddled, held hands, had sleep overs, all without a title. She didn't question anything though. She didn't want to scare him away and didn't think he felt the same. But she was taken by surprise in time when he finally popped the girlfriend question. She took a leap. Not knowing where she was going. She trusted her gut. She trusted him.
Another break came. And she missed him ever more. They realized they loved each other. The first time he told her, she cried of happiness. True happiness. Because she really did love him. They spent all spring inseparable. Falling more and more in love with each day that passed.
But the end of the year came and they wouldn't see each other for awhile. They got sad. But knew they could handle whatever lied ahead. She began to fade away without his presence. She tried to keep busy with other things and got lost along the way. She was very sick and could even see it. 3.5 months and they saw each other about 4 times. It was tough.
But those months past. And when they were together again, the world made sense. The distance made her appreciate everything about him even more. His eyes, his touch, his kiss, his voice, everything. She was complete again. He helped her get better and brought her to the light. He gave her a reason to wake up everyday. They fought, they got mad once In awhile, but at the end Of the day, she always laid her head down on his chest. And soon, that was home. That was where she knew she belonged. Forever. The year was tough on them both. But they made it through. They made compromises, cuddles in the morning, gym together later. They spent every waking moment together. They were best friends. Soul mates. And Lovers.
She needed him. She always will. He completes her. He made her believe in love more than she ever has before. Her and him because THEM. They became one. Any other love story is put to shame now. Because she loves her love story most. She wouldn't trade it for anything in world. And guess what?
