It's a funny story actually and probably not one that everyone can relate to but originally we met online. I was in a rough spot to put it simply and out of boredom decided to play some games of yahoo pool. I played with quite a few people without actually saying a word and then I met this wonderful girl. I usually won so often that I'd win a game then let the person I'm playing win (regardless of gender) but being a smart cookie she caught on quick. Krissy vowed to keep playing me until she won and when she did she wouldn't believe me that I didn't let her win. After that we became close and I asked her out but she wasn't sure of her feelings. Months down the line I ended up being with someone else just as she confessed her feelings.
We remained friends for over 14 years. Growing closer all the while but not actually ending up together. Near the beginning of last year we finally ended up hooking up. A few months ago I proposed to her in Puerto Rico under a water fountain. To my happiness she said yes. The two of us are now engaged and are looking forward to our wedding the future. We even plan to have kids someday. I couldn't ever be happier than I am right now (except maybe on the wedding night) and I couldn't ask for a more beautiful friendship or a more perfect lover.
It may have taken awhile but in the end we found our way together. Just as we wanted all those years ago. Anyone reading this I want you to have hope. True love does happen and things do work out. To Krissy reading this.. I love you more than anything. That will never change and I will strive to do everything I can to make all your dreams come true.. |
