I don't remember how exactly I met Mika, but once he became a part of my life there was no leaving. We've been close from the start. I had a seemingly hopeless crush while he was afraid of how people would see him. Time went on and I expected nothing beyond friendship. Then one day I got a message asking for a relationship. It seemed fine because it wasn't meant to be more than platonic. We both identified as aromantic, but when my birthday came around things changed. Feelings grew from that moment on. I don't think I've ever loved anyone more than this wonderful young man. He kept me alive in the hardest part of my life and now I'm trying my best to do the same. I hope we continue to be here for each other to the end.
