To my dearest J ~
You came into my life and in that moment, changed it forever. You added sunshine to my dark and dreary days with your kind words, your never-ending support, your gentle love, your handsome sweet smile ... Our friendship was instant ... Our playful banter shining for all of our friends to see ("that lake's here somewhere" is something I'll always remember ~ the way your personality beamed so bright then and continues to shine even brighter now ... my own personal beacon, a loving ray of light ... guiding me always with your love).
Over time we've supported each other through life's trials and celebrated together life's joyous moments. In turn our friendship deepened. We've shared funny stories and painful memories, long goodbyes and over a year of never sleeping alone. We have spent countless hours together, traveled together, eaten together, watched movies together and played together. So many wonderful memories we've created together so far and so many memories yet to be made.
Our path has led us into friendship that turned into best of friends, best friends that turned into lovers ... lovers that are and always have been soul mates. Two peas in that fantastic pod. A Pot and Kettle. Pangolins, understood in every way ... destined to find the other ... our life paths constantly crossing and weaving over time and many miles. I love the adventure that we're on, J ... and I look forward to what God has in store for our future.
