My dearest Tristan,
It's hard to believe we met 5 years ago now. It feels like yesterday and it also feels like a lifetime. I love how we met at the bus stop. Remember our first date at the park too? I love how I went to kiss your cheek but you turned your head and kissed me back. I love remembering our first hike when I climbed up on that big rock. You told me not to because I'd get stuck, but I did anyway. Lo and behold, you were right and you had to help me get down! I remember being so insanely happy when you pulled up to my college apartment to visit. It felt like a miracle to be able to see your cute face. Come to think of it, it probably was when you were driving that old death-trap Durango. :P We have so many good memories like these. I look forward to forming even more with you as we continue to walk through life together.
Thank you for being my best friend, my rock, my teammate, and my puzzle piece. Thank you for being you. I would never want to change the goofy, dorky boy I love. Thank you for making me smile and laugh every day. I love our wacky conversations and your sense of humor. Thank you for listening to me talk on and on, ranting about work, my problems, and things of little to no importance. Thank you for dealing with my crazy girl-emotions and my telling/nagging you what to do (which I'm still working on). Thank you for taking an interest in my hobbies and trying them out with me. Thank you for all of your love, respect, support, and all the lessons you help me learn. There's never a moment when I don't feel your love, and I appreciate that more than I can express. I feel so incredibly comfortable and secure with you. Even from the beginning, it's always been so effortless to be myself around you. I've never been able to be completely myself around anyone else. It means so much to me that I can talk to you about absolutely anything without fear of judgment, betrayal, a fight, or abandonment.
I planted a tree for us here almost 4 years ago. I wanted to add another tree to the forest today as we start our new chapter as newlyweds (06-08-2019). I'm usually a very private person and not one for PDA. But I'm so happy and proud to be your wife, and I don't mind if everyone in the world knows it. (Although I bet we're the only ones who will read this) :P In any case, please know that my love for you is just as strong as ever. I still feel the same joy when you come home as I did when you visited me at college. I treasure every moment I get to spend with you. I'll always be there for you and I'll continue trying to be the best wife for you. I'm a-million% dedicated to you and this marriage. That will never change. We make a kick-ass team and I know we will do amazing things together. I love you so so very much.
