| I met Jacob my junior year of high school. He was a sophomore at the time. We were just friends because I was dating someone else through highschool, but I always liked who he was and always thought he was one of the nicest people. One day my freshmen year of college I decided to text him, it had been awhile and I just wanted to see how he was doing, he was a senior and I just wanted to see what he was doing with his life. We talked non stop all weekend, and pretty much all the rest of my freshmen year. We never really talked much about a relationship but I did want to see him when I got home from college. I was home for three weeks before I had to go back to school for the summer, but that is all it took. I saw him almost every day I could. We decided to give it a try and have been together ever since. He signed up for the navy his senior year and left at the end of october for basic training. I didn't get to see him or even talk to him for 8 weeks. He is now in Florida doing his "A" school training, which is the next step in the navy. I'm not sure what is after this, or where he will be. It's a constant struggle, the whole time he was home I was at school, and now I can't even go home to see him because he is in the navy. he is first and foremost my best friend and I wouldn't know what to do without him., it's not always an easy journey and I often have my doubts, but in the end he was the "ONE" at the time i needed him, he was the one that happened into my life at the right place and the right time, so I feel obligated to give every last effort to him and to US. He got me through struggles that otherwise im not sure if I would have made it through, I am on the other side of things and have an AMAZING future and life ahead of me, and I want to make sure i'm here for every step of his journey and struggles too. I couldn't ask for a better friend and in the end don't you want the special person in your life to also be your BEST friend. |
