I chose this...for you.
A tree of Bur Oak, a certain species of oak trees, which is deciduous but in the same way this tree experiences the change of seasons and the death and rebirth, we also go through the seasons of life, and though our leaves may wither away, die, and fall in the most coldest and harshest of circumstances, we shall remain rooted to the Source, to God, our Strength and Salvation. In fact, due to the Bur Oak's unique long taproot, the tree is significantly drought resistant. My favorite part is that the wood of this Bur Oak causes this tree to be one of the most fire-resistant and fire-tolerant trees.
A chiseled heart to show that our love is not perfect, its not huge and of fantastical proportions, but is it complete. With time, it has been carefully chiseled and engraved into, and that there have been mistakes, rough and sharp edges, ragged and chipped linings, but at the end of the day, our love is complete.
This is only but a symbol, a small embodiment of what my mind has chosen, and my heart feels. Always and forever babe, I will be here for you.
