This tree represents the real one that stands in the State Park in Harrisville, MI
I met Tom 50 years ago in high school while I was walking down the hall and he called out to me. We went steady for 4 years and became engaged on Easter Sunday in the 5th year. My parents got in the way and we never did marry. The love we have for each other remains though. We write e-mails telling each other that we will love each other forever, or just saying 'Good Night' or 'I'll be taking you to bed with me tonight'.
He married twice and has one daughter. I married twice, always looking for happiness and never finding it, because neither one was him, never having children because we had already named our son and I only wanted his child. We chose our song 50 years ago and it's still true "I Can't Stop Loving You".
Tom carved our initials in a sugar maple tree when I was 16 and he was 18. While walking in the forest he found a Scout knife and it was like God had placed it in our path where Tom would see it. He's my one and only love for my lifetime and beyond. We didn't get our lifetime being together but our hearts will remain connected for all eternity. As he says, "I'll Go To My Grave Loving You" and beyond.
I believe God will finally allow us to have our eternity together.
